The Pigment MIX universal pigment concentrate is intended for tinting ready-made commercial paints, enamels and lacquers applied both inside and outside rooms (see the colour template).
Tinting water-soluble dispersion paints (acrylic, latex, emulsion and chalk ones) is the major application.
The carefully selected composition of the Pigment MIX concentrates also ensures the possibility to tint most solvent paints and enamels: (alkyd, phthalic, oil-phthalic), chlorinated rubber and nitrocellulose ones.
Moreover, Pigment MIX may be used for tinting water-soluble and some solvent transparent lacquers, gypsum in the whole body, raw timber and unglazed ceramics.
The Pigment MIX concentrate is compatible with our other products: FUGAREMIX – a grout renovator, GRUNT MIX – a priming preparation and GLAMOUR EFFECT - Glaze (references to these products).
Due to the technologies and raw materials applied by various paint and lacquer manufacturers, the conduct of a test on a small quantity of paint or lacquer is recommended. The achieved colours depend on the type and quality of the tinted product. The absorptivity, type and structure of the substrate, as well as environment and lighting conditions may also influence the final colour.
The Pigment MIX concentrate should be thoroughly mixed before use. Any possible delamination does not constitute the product defect. A tinting test on a small quantity of paint or lacquer ought to be conducted in order to check the mutual tolerance and define the appropriate proportion. Measure and weigh the necessary quantity of the concentrate and slowly pour it into the tinted product, thoroughly stirring manually or mechanically until a uniform colour has been achieved. While stirring, avoid excessive foaming, which may deteriorate application properties.
The maximum recommended addition of the Pigment MIX concentrate per the total net mass of the final product is 10%. We recommend conducting tests of tinting solvent products because in some cases inconsistencies may occur.
